I told my gf about my pr0n collection and told her I have absolutely NO problems if she feels uncomfortable with it and wanted me to toss it. I think since I played so cool and no-big-deal-ish, she figured that she shouldn't have a problem with it either.

I think hiding it is a bad idea... the frame of mind to hide anything from someone means that you may have more serious issues than originally stated (ie: what ELSE are you considering hiding, you know?) If she wants you to toss it, and you REALLY can't part with your pr0n... time to move on and find a girl that can live with it.

If you really care about her (which I figure you do because it's your wife, not just a gf): honesty's not the best policy. It's the only policy.

You're right, but the core of the issue goes further... I mean she's become so possessive over me lately that she gets mad when I talk to female co-workers, even talk chicks off of the street. I'm affraid that a salient jelousy is developing and I don't like it. I've always have been fascinated with sex and am not immoral about it, so why should I budge. I think she is the one with the insecurities...

Why should you budge... Because it's important to her, and not so important to you. (If I am wrong and porn is that important to you... Then you have problems and certainly aren't ready for marriage... And your wife made a poor choice in a husband.)

If she has her own insecurity issues, then that is separate from this. Although I could never know how (in what manner) you talk to these women at work or "chicks off the street"... But if it's even remotely flirtatious, then it's inappropriate in a marriage, imho.

You are the husband. Your job is to protect and provide a secure lifestyle for your wife and children. Not behave in a way (or hang on to something) that hurts the one you love most, because... Well I can't even fathom a reason why it would be that important to you.

Sometimes people just have to be mad... as long as you don't intend to cheat on your wife. She's insecure, but you accept her for that... so why can't she accept you for being "a fan of women" as I like to call it?
