My new baby

Just picked it up yesterday. Night sights, SA/DA p226 in the 357 sig caliber. Came with 3 mags as well...nice low price of 660 for it. Can't wait to shoot it. Celebrate with me!

Very nice pistol, though I don't really see the point of .357 Sig. Sigs are the nicest-shooting DA/SA pistols on the market IMO.

I like the penetration of the 357 better than the 40 I currently have. The power of the round is something I considered greatly before making the switch.

21. I believe its federal law.

And normally, that package would run 700-750 bucks. At least around here.

660 is not a bad price for a sig. Not bad at all.

Of course, it just seems expensive, that is until you drop 3 grand on a 1911

Very nice Sig FH

I love the style of the trigger on the 1911.

My dad has a few of 1911s, Gold Cups, Desert Eagles, ... he is a collector. Very nice pistols.

Federal law only requires you to be 21 years old to buy a handgun from a FFL dealer. Most states allow you to buy handguns in private sales or to be gifted them once you are 18 years old.

Oh and nice gun. I've got bad Sig envy. I just picked up a new S&W M&P9 because I couldn't find a decent used Sig in my area. I don't have the kind of scratch needed to buy a NIB Sig. Good catch, though.

A +P+ 9mm round has essentially the same ballistics, and 9mm offers the ability to shoot cheap range ammo. Personally I don't think .40S&W, .357 Sig, 10mm, or .45GAP really offer much benefit over the standard-bearer 9mm and .45 calibers, but YMMV.

The only problem with 9mm +p+ is that most major manufacturers suggest you not shoot it. I know S&W only recommends +p in their guns.

I know Glock, in particular, has no issue with it, and as it happens that's the 9mm I shoot.

Diminishing returns apply to your level of safety as your purchase more guns. Once you have an assault rifle, a long range rifle, a shotgun and a pistol, you stop seeing large returns to safety, as additional guns will only serve to arm your friends and family in a SHTF situation.

At that point, I recommend buying other essentials, like body armor, gas masks, OC gas grenades, and of course, thousands of rounds of ammunition.

Did you consider a conversion barrel?

I bought one for my Glock .40, have never had a misfire or FTF yet, very impressed...

wtf? why do .22 conversions cost like $300 for other guns? man, i;d love to find a .22 conversion for that price for my 1911 or CZ

That's a .357 sig to .40 S&W conversion. The casings are similar enough that they work in the same magazines, and only require a barrel change.
