Glock w/33 round clip

A Glock19 can use clips that hold 10, 15, 17, 19, 31, and 33 bullets.

Anything above 15 clip legal for regular citizens w/o jumping thru lots of hoops to use legally?

Who cares? Your first sentence lacks a subject AND a verb. Your second sentence starts with a conjunction, which is generally not a good idea. Your horrible grammar is a worse than calling a magazine a clip. Shutup about the clip/magazine distinction already.

I was under the impression that my state (MN) has restrictions. But there are pre-ban guns and post-ban guns. You can legally buy a pre-ban gun with larger clips.... I think that was how I understood it.

EDIT: DOH!!! I mean, "with larger magazines...." Oh, and I asked about Minnesota because it wasn't in the list posted above.

<-- has a 30 round banana magazine for his ruger 10/22 that is now illegal to purchase in California. I can't even sell the damned thing, nor go to another state and get another and bring it back!

CLIP

MAGAZINE

Lets try that one more time.

meh, i've heard it called clip all my life and i really don't see the difference or care what people call it. if they call it either one, i know what they are talking about. both are ammo holders that are inserted into a gun, so really, who cares?

So calling a sound card a graphics card is ok. Both process data and are inserted into a motherboard.

eh, I don't really care about the mag/clip thing myself, but i just had to say it.

how can you even make that as a comparison. a sound card and video card do 2 totally different things.

a clip and magazine both do the same thing - hold and feed ammo into the gun.

It doesn't really matter if they're legal or not. High capacity handgun magazines usually don't feed very well. One of the guys in my Monday night league brought a 20 rounder for his Glock one week and had all sorts of trouble with it.

You're better off just getting two 15 rounders and doing a mag change.

its a BIG differnce... clips are just that a clip that holds the bullets in a row for early weps..
a magazine holds bullets in a totally different manner. (fully enclosed) and are used in most modern weps.

It's more likely that "clip" has been popularized by Hollyweird, most likely because some ignorant writer thought it sounded cooler. Even though it's technically incorrect, it's become a generic term, and thus, acceptable.

As far as pre-ban and post-ban, the ban is now over. The original law was for 10 years, with the hope that it would be extended at the end of that time. Instead, congress opted to allow it to lapse. What that means is that anything that was affected by the ban is no longer affected......meaning that unless you have a local law making it illegal, you can now buy any size magazine you can find for your firearm, folding stocks that really fold are now legal (the ban forced manufacturers to make a "folding stock" not be able to fold......really dumb!), and there's no limit to how many assault rifles the dealers can import, or from where.

The only thing I wish now is that I had sold all my extended mags back when you find them new, for more $$$, and then bought new ones once they were legal again. Oh well, hindsight is 20/20, isn't it?

i agree that magazine is the correct word for this, but i still disagree on that there's not that much of a difference, but we could argue this all day and still not get anywhere. i try to call them mags but every now and then i let clip slip out because thats what i've heard the most.

Well, according to California my 10/22 is a flash supressor and a bipod away from being an assault rifle. So there are alot of local laws still around.

Does it really matter? When I am in the woods and a heard of bambis are closing in on my position... I am going to yell throw me another clip since it is shorter than magazine. That could be the difference between life and death.
