As you know with a chambered weapon you need to have it under positive control at all times. Since its unlikely you will be walking around with one hand on it all the time, the holster needs to keep it from going off. The trigger should be completely covered and there should be no wiggle room that it might slide around and either drop out, or accidentally discharge into your ass fat.

Dont get too cheap a holster. Needs to secure the weapon properly but also give you easy access should you need it quickly. I assume you conceal carry because you worry about getting jumped and either beaten or stabbed.

Also, make sure you practice holstering and unholstering at home, with whatever clothes you will be wearing around town. Many people panic the first time something happens and spend precious seconds struggling with their loose clothes.

Don't skimp on a holster. It is almost as important for carry as the gun itself.

I like Bianchi and Galco leather holsters.

Get a kydex holster that's properly molded to you make/model of gun. Don't fuss around with those universal type holsters, especially if you are carrying with no manual safety and one in the pipe.

While I agree with you about getting a holster that is properly molded to your make/model of gun I dislike plastic holsters. Leather is so much better against your clothing/skin/weapon and they only get better with age.

1. Ditch the bb gun
2. Get a Desert Eagle
3. Stuff it in your waist band
4. Go shopping at your neighborhood walmart

I can't really argue with that. The thing I like about a kydex holster is the exact fit. I like that my Glock "clicks" into place when I holster it and also when I draw it. I'm sure leather holsters are secure, but something about that click just gives me piece of mind.

In the end, the message is the same. The OP would do well to find a QUALITY holster, be it leather, plastic or other.
