If you label email(s) and Archive them, it's then similar to folders in that you'll see the Labels on your lower left sidebar and if you click the label you'll see all the emails under that label, just as if it was a folder.

it's suppose to work that way. early on though, I don't think it did. So a few people who had first.last and firstlast got screwed over. Dunno. But if you want imap then the service your using is pretty immaterial cause you will be just routing all your messages through outlook. From a web-based emails point of view, its definately got the upper hand on gmail. gmail hasn't really improved for the last year or so. im really digging the interface.

adding everyone I send an email to my contact list is RETARDED. and I don't like tags, I like a list of folders on the left hand side of my screen. I will never seen how tags are any better, they're just different. And to my I like them a lot less. And yes, I know how to use them.

You can use the "+" character for filtering. For any address XX@gmail.com, you will receive all mail from XX+YYYY@gmail.com ("XX" is your gmail username, "YYYY" is any acceptable string of text).
