a few weeks ago my 80GB WD SE died on me after about 3 months of use :|
this was my linux box that at home that was my main workstation, I have a windows box for some games and experiments, bnut I could always rely on my linux box. anyways my new windows box is scsi and doesn't have a lot of room but I haven't had time to try and heal the HD,(it makes horrible clicking noises and now SMART gives me an error on bootup, linux crashes at strtup w/ IO errors)
I tried knoppix 3.2yesterday, but it gave me errors??? weird, anywho tonight I tried the new 3.3 and it is running right now and I am pulling data off some partitions that still work!!!!!
