YANNT (Yet Another New Notebook Thread)

I finally have some money saved for a new laptop, it will mainly be doing email and web surfing and business stuff. I'll probably dual boot Linux on it. watching movies also
I want blue tooth so I can get online through my phone.

The asus F3 and A8 notebooks look nice at newegg but no bluetooth
I'm looking at dell but not too thrilled, I hear good things about the HP DV6000 series.

I'm also thinking about saving some money and getting a Pentium M/ Centrino laptop off FS/FT or somewhere and throwing some ram in it.

So I'm open for recommendations.

couple questions.
If I want to run vista later will the intel onboard graphics do it or should I go for a good video card?

what is the performance improvements are there for mobile processors? Are there any I should stay away from?

anyone have a link to a good review or comparison of mobile processors?

The Asus A8JP-4S029M has bluetooth and it includes a free upgrade to Vista. It's $1,298.99 on Newegg.com

The Asus F3JC-AP105P-A also has bluetooth and free upgrade to Vista. It's $1,248.99 at Newegg.com

Personally I would go for the A8JP

gma950 (intels most recent onboard graphics) is fully vista capable (it can run aero) but dont expect it to run games (intel does have a new integrated chipset coming in april/may which is supposidly dx10 (thought it will not be fast), it should be a major upgrade of gma950 (which was slow 2 years ago when it was released).

thanks for the help guys, I still can't decide, I also looking at the lower end thinkpad Z and T series. they are priced much more competitively than I thought
