Yao Ming will eat shaq's children and his children's children.

At 7'5" 296 lb, Yao Ming is very athletic unlike Shawn Bradly and Minute Bol. I wonder what a year in the weight room will do to his frame.
Honestly, how many people out there are just waiting for some guy to come along who can take it to Shaq?

he is this tall(like 7'6" I think) retired basketball player. Yao cant do anything to shaq, he is not a post player.

But I must say Ming looks impressive... I saw some videos of him playing in China, and I he moves very well for his size... Very good footwork (unlike Shaq who has terrible ball-handling skills)...

Shaq is HUGE by any standards, Ming looks like a twig next to him, watch shaq abuse him like he does every other center in the league, funny thing is, shaq at 80% is still better than most centers at 100%, ming included

Ming might be good in a couple of years, but right now, Shaq would eat him up for dinner on Shaq's worst basketball day. Ming doesn't know how to handle the physicality of the NBA game Dude, even Vlade will own Ming.

They will be help defenders.

i might be mistaken, but isn't there a maximum salary for rookies of something around 3.5 - 4 million per year? even kobe only got a 3 year 10million contract his rookie year...

at 7'5", ming isnt even a shotblocker. he's a perimeter player.

shaq will own him.

sportscenter took a poll to see which person ming will most resemble and smits won with like 32% and bradley came in 2nd with 30%. my numbers arent exact, but they're roughly close.

What Ming brings to the table is a wealth of potential.... If he bulks up, if he learns how to play in the physical NBA, if he lears how to play in the post etc etc, he has the physical talent to be one of the best ever. Unfortunately for him, he's not there yet, and it will take a few years yet (if at all). For now, Ming will be owned by just about every decent center in the league. The potential is amazing though!
