I myself was raised in a Muslim family. I have long since dropped my faith in mankind and it's religons. I still believe in God. Just not the way someone else tells me to believe in Him.

hm. agnostics winning so far

I was raised by pretty liberal parents *cough*hippies*cough*. they themselves weren't religious people, so I wasn't brought up to believe that one religion was somehow different than another.

officially, I guess I'm a Catholic, since my grandparents (on both sides, since both my parents come from hard-core catholic families) made my parents baptise me. but seeing as how I didn't step foot in a church again until I was in catholic grammer school (junior high-highschool), I've never considered myself to be Christian.

I believe in God and I think that religions are neat, but I don't "subscribe" to any particular one.

No, I hate signing contract and paying monthly fee, so I try to subscribe as least as possible beside cell phone.

Oh btw, would you be charged by your religion's G_d when you change or drop subscription? O
If one is willing to pay, may one subscribe to more than one religion,as I know some people subscribe more than one phoneline?

I'm a disciple of Christ, who's resurrection we celebrate today. It's not about the bunny.

I am not such a disciple, so for me, it IS all about the bunny.

Subscribe to? Heck, I subscribe to them all, as in reading what they have to say about mankind & God. It's kind of like when there is a presidential debate, there are many versions as to what happened and what it means...

I practice Christianity

I pretty much follow my own life philosophy but it's most accurately described as agnostic taoistism with a few tenets of buddhism thrown in.

My cabbie last night was a Hindu from Bangladesh. We had a very cool chat about how Christianity compared with Hinduism.

Just like everybody else on the planet, I have my own religion. I do not "subscribe" to any pre-concieved notions of religion.

My Mom used to force us to go to church. I hated it. Probably why I don't care for it now. It's like torture.

im a hindu even though i dont follow it in any way (dont go to temple, etc etc). infact, i dont even like the concept of religions.
i chose hinduism although "no religion" wouldve been a better choice for me.

I just want some answers... particularly - where the F*CK did all this STUFF come from. (i.e. the freakin' UNIVERSE)

as a scientific minded person, I demand an explanation.

religion says it came from God.. well where did this God come from ? what is it made of and how does it work? my mind can't comprehend that "oh just have faith he's always been there"

so then if theres no God, then where did all the matter and energy in the universe come from? what was here before it came to be ? how does it end? why am I posting this ?

thats the other thing - how can anyone take the old testament as literal fact ?

human beings evolved from apes.. how can an adam-and-eve believer explain that ?

don't get me wrong, I hope there is a god and afterlife, because the thought that we all blink into eternal nothingness at death is pretty much the most depressing thought imaginable
