You get more than a ticket for assaulting an officer. Also, she's from another state where these troopers would have no way to collect the fine.

For all they know, the person is running away because the vehicle is stolen...and the tag won't help you there.

After the first officer was assaulted, I have no problem with that other officer shooting out the rear tire. Even though it was not standard operating procedure, I have absolutely no problem with it.

They would be able to collect the fine just as easily as if the driver lived in NM. You can't really hide from from this stuff anymore.

And, even though you're OK with it, New Mexico expects better than a Dukes of Hazard level of professionalism from their State Police.

He got fired for being a dumb ass but fortunately he has a bright future if he wants with the Albuquerque police department where there is little issue with wildly shooting at anything spooky or shiny or anything that makes a funny noise.

i agree with this woman.

She is a spectacular example of bad mothering. Even now she puts forth this facade of having been in the right.

Does our society permit shooting idiots. Heck even the thieves that breaks in the house we are not allowed to shoot at.

An ideal society would certainly permit shooting her tires in this situation.
