She wasn't walking like that earlier in the video, or after they arrested her. You must be seeing what you want to see. That would make you the troll, yes?

right. I am just glad I don't live in your part of town where cops are allowed to sucker punch people.

I'm glad you'll never be on a jury in my part of town, where you make up your mind without all of the evidence.

A guy behind her flicked his water bottle and it went all over her and the cops. They turned around and saw her walking away and figured she was the one who had done it. Turns out, they were wrong. Whoops. Still, given that this is a SandEagle thread, and I'm sick of his constant bullshit about cops, I'm gonna side with the cops, because fuck it.

Yeah, the asshole assumed the woman was the one spraying water on them.

I can't watch the video atm, but my thought is that if the woman is not injured then this should be chaulked up to a life lesson AND and example of what not to do around cops.

Seriously, people are ridiculous with right and wrong applications of force. Remember when teachers could hit students? Now they are supposed to take punches in the face and lose their job if they touch the student trying to defend themselves. (I'm not saying it's ok for teachers to hit students - please stay with me for another sentence before jumping the gun) This causes students to think they can do whatever they want and there are no consequences. Do we really want our youth applying this to cops as well?

My point is you should respect cops, if you don't then you deserve to get punched in the face and arrested. It doesn't make it right, but hopefully it teaches everyone a lesson. I wonder if half the people who comment on these things have ever dealt with a LEO before. I have never had an issue despite having done stupid things right in front of them.

She was bleeding from her mouth. Probably cut lip or something.

It's hard being a LEO, I have a lot of respect for them. But they have to obey the law too.

She wasn't resisting she was just trying to get out of the way of the cop. She had no idea he had his sites set on her. She didn't do anything.

That was clearly NOT "no reason". I couldn't hear what she said, but she clearly yelled something, then starting to run away. If the officer had already asked her to stop, he was justified in detaining her.

It's not clear from the video whether he even made a fist, so your claim of "sucker punch" doesn't hold up.

There's just not enough info here.

you are a retard.

NOTHING she said justfied her getting punched. that is a Sucker punch

The cop is being investigated. He should be charged with assault and dismissed from the force. He already has 11 other complaints against him.

A friking thug in uniform who think he is above the law.
Throw the book at him.

I also hope they get the asshole who sprayed the cops with the liquid and charge him.

yeah sounds like a cop on a power trip.

either way with the video it clearly shows that she didn't do a damn thing against the law. She did NOTHING to deserve getting SUCKER PUNCHED. Only a fool or a idiot would think so.

Even if she did the punch is uncalled for. there would be no reason to do it.

Yelling alone would not be a basis for detaining her, and the tape identifies no cause whatsoever for this use of force even if it did. I think "sucker punch" is an entirely accurate description.

What if she yelled out that she was getting her gun from the car?

Appeared excessive. He was fast enough and close enough to grab her to detain.

Then you detain her and search her car. And if she says I have Jimmy Hoffa in my basement, you detain her and search her house. And if she says she's going to nuke the cops, then you detain her and search her ICBM.

Notice, no sucker punch is needed.

B-b-b-b-but cops have tough jobs! They are underpaid! This justifies them brutally assaulting innocent people because everyone makes mistakes!

Holy shit you cannot be serious.

The cop clearly caught up with her.. She was not running or trying to get away from the cop. I think she knew what was about to happen and went into fight or flight.

I cannot believe that anyone could watch that video and think the cop did nothing wrong. Amazing.

actually it looked like she turned away to confront the dude that tossed the water/string at the cop as it also hit her. she turns around to see who tossed it, cop assumes it was her and says something, she turns back to cop and gets punched in the face

cop 100% at fault
