Be VERY CAREFUL what you wish for, re: red flag laws.

To eliminate the 2nd amendment would be like eliminating human instinct. You would be asking physically less advantaged people to not use their brains to provide themselves with equalizing strengths. You would be asking people who rely on themselves not to see you as not just uncommonly stupid but also as a dangerous threat. It is also quite likely, in my opinion, that you grew up in a police protected with some sense you could get a quick response from 911 service. You could give two shits about people far from such service. As stupid as this sounds.. the only way Americans will ever get rid of the stupidity is to repeal the second amendment just like they repealed the 18th.
And the ignoring of the status quo puts us closer to that every waking day!
Well I don’t care, I’m Canadian.
You’re obviously drunk… or stoopit af.You sound like a die hard communist.
It’s going to be the sane onesWhat if there's a huge influx of American refugees across your borders?
We don’t even have to ban all guns. Keep bolt action rifles for hunting legal, shotguns for home defense, MAYBE revolvers. How muskets for militias got perverted into semi automatic weapons of war with extended magazines for everyone is beyond me.
You can get a taste of that kind of reasoning here. It may help to know that people can see things differently
I am quite surprised and gratified to think you will watch the video. It only explains why the AR 15 is seen as a sensible choice for home defense by some people. It does not explain why it has been used 96 times to wrongfully kill people. The arms race and human survival are likely intertwined for a million years of human history. Intelligence and violence are not the same thing. A person intent on killing people is going to seek the same advantages as people trying to defend themselves from the madness of others I would suspect and we can't unlearn technological advancement. But we could do something about mental illness were we to have the capacity to see it in ourselves, I believe.Okay fine I’ll watch this AR15 video. But why it’s the boogeyman, 96 times this gun has been used in mass shootings.

I know far more than I would like to about what it means not to care. It's all about rejecting experiencing the pain you would experience if you allowed yourself to care. Mass killers are also expressing the same thing, that they do not care.Don’t really care about that kind of reasoning as long as those people stay out of my home state. We have one of the lowest rates of gun ownership and, surprise, the single lowest rate in the country of death by firearm.
Speaking as one of the 8% or whatever it is of people who own a gun here
edit: Hawaii is now slightly lower.
Isn't it a question of motive. The best defense, I have heard, is a good offense. Seems to be a matter of point of view. It's all a matter of good and evil. Offensive power in the hands of the good is good and in the hands of evil, evil. All of this happens, of course, because people believe. They believe they know the difference between two things that don't exist. That's what I call being asleep, not knowing you are a believer in the absurd.AR-15 is perfect for killing the maximum number of people in the least amount of time
Sounds like an offensive weapon to me
100% this. the only reason I have handgun and will add to my collection because i live in an area full of crazy fucks, and live down the street from a shooting range owned by a crazy Jan 6'er that propagates conspiracies and election fraud BS. I'd rather be prepared with all these whack jobs around me.The only reason I need an AR-15 now is to shoot people that have AR-15s who are going to come after me and all that is decent.. In self-defense.

I know what it is like to hate the world because of the feeling that life is barren and empty, that all there is for me but a life of black depression. I know what is to think about ending that pain preemptively and to suffer fear and doubt. I also know what it is like to defeat that Nothingness and be reborn. Perhaps the way you experience the world can change. I would wish you that and open such a door if I could. But I am far away and do not know enough. Still, I wish what I wish, that you find inner peace. The only reason I need an AR-15 now is to shoot people that have AR-15s who are going to come after me and all that is decent.. In self-defense.

That is just one reason. The other is not to have to reload where precious seconds lost doing so while under attack could cost you your life. That is an advantage to a 30 round mag. The disadvantage, in my opinion, is that it expends too far from the gun making it awkward to handle. Personally I would own 20 round mags but in California they are illegal so I own two ten round ones that are attached back to back. People in other states and criminals with high round mags in my state would have an advantage on me.Unless you are trying to fend off 10+ attackers a well trained person with a handgun is adequate.
People issued gun licenses should have required training and scheduled refreshers
The only reason for high capacity mags are to kill multiple people
lol nope. This video just confirms how crazy gun nutters are. Us in the civilized world isn’t in utter fear were we need to be armed to the teeth. Like come on, I’m from Toronto. Not scared of break ins or car jackings.I am quite surprised and gratified to think you will watch the video. Since there will be no repealing the 2nd A in our lifetime this might be the way to go.This thread sums it up better than I could.
Be VERY CAREFUL what you wish for, re: red flag laws. The GOP will absolutely weaponize this approach. They will expand the definition of "mentally unfit" to include any non-conformist behavior. What's next? Muslim? Atheist? Woke? Ever served on a DEI committee? They will eventually label any or all of these things as mentally ill, deviant, etc. That gives them cover to strip people of their rights, or worse yet, something like mass incarceration like alluded to in the tweet below. This SCOTUS will likely allow it?
What happens next? I don't know, but there's definitely this feeling of some big push/movement about to happen.
