So, I finally decided to reinstall my Arctic Cooler Pro on my Core 2 E6300, and replace the stock HSF I had lazily put on during my last upgrade. Low and behold, once I have everything cleaned and ready to go, my thermal compound is missing!
I was using a tube Arctic Ceramique from back in the AMD Barton days due to the exposed contacts on that chip (ceramique is non-conductive). Should I get some of that again, or is the newer Arctic Silver 5 any better? Or any other recommendations?
And don't you just hate it when your in the middle of something and missing a vital component, lol.
