I'd suggest that, among many other things, the mistake would be the two cars you haven chosen for your comparison..

actually i do like the 2011 mustang, don't really care about bmw's.

it came down to the sti or evo and the sti felt really sluggish compared to the evo.

from a roll the ms3 felt faster than the 2008 evo but i think they retuned the 2010 cuz this feels faster than my ms3 did. interior is no comparison, the ms3 was way nicer.
exterior subjective, i like both cars. it got old sitting there spinning the front tires in 1st and 2nd, decided i wanted to go the awd route so i could put the power down.

i also cross shopped the 370z, but in the end i didn't want to go back to an n/a car.

135i *STARTS* at $36K. You fail.

Not to mention if you want *any* options, you're looking at $40K+. And have you seen one of these in person? They are damn small. It looks like someone stretched a Mini and gave it some balls.

Mustang GT would have been a good cross-shopper, but they are 100&#37; totally different cars. Until you've gotten a ride in an Evo, you won't understand.

And to cut you off, just because the Evo evolved from a whimpy econobox like your Focus doesn't mean the two are anything alike.
