The law still allows people to text if they are legally stopped or using a hands-free device. It also specifically permits using GPS navigation.

Voice to text, I assume.

I'm not much into banning things, but when I was on the bus the other day in the I-10 HOV, which was stop and go at the time, looked over and saw this lady texting with both hands, head down, while going about 25 mph, my draw dropped and my mind was set - texting while driving needs to be BANNED in Texas, pronto!

miss riding that bus. hours aren't any good for me, though. great if you work 8 to 5. useless if you work after 6. at least for my location.
