I've never worked for a company that gives holiday bonuses. The concept kinda seems strange to me, actually. Performance reviews and compensation adjustments are in March. I may switch employers before then, have to wait and see.

Just got my annual review last month and of course no raise (2nd year in a row for everyone and no raise for next year either - 3 years in a row likely) but a few extra days off with pay.

We "may" get some small bonus payments this year <crossing fingers> but nothing else. At least I still have the same pay for the last two years and no salary cut.

I am retooling and learning new skills and planning to get a few certifications. After this economy storm is over, I will head out to greener pasture pronto.

Our company has a Christmas party as usual, I never go, it's just awkward as everyone is there with wives/husbands and have at least 10+ years over me. They also get retarded drunk... I call that career suicide. It's just not my thing.

We've having a bonus this year (well I assume, but it has not been officially determined yet). The company is doing fairly well. I also can't wait to take out my shares (they open in January) + get my taxes back. All that money will be a nice chunk on the loan.

First holiday at my new company. The bonuses will be 2.5-3% of your salary. I have a review coming up so I can expect at least a cost of living raise if not more.

Good news on the holiday party too. Budget is (apparently) up from last year. I was told by a party committee member the budget is larger than the 2007 holiday party prize budget of $9500 and the prizes they will be (free) raffling off include a couple of 50" TVs, a couple laptops, some bluray players a PS3 and more

Much better than my last job - which was at a company that no longer exists

We get our "short-term incentives" in April 2010 depending on a performance review in Jan 2010. Our STI's are 50% based on personal performance, 40% based on division performance (IT, for example), and 10% based on the overall company performance. I think I did well enough to earn 100% of my portion, my division was probably one of the few that made money (so I'm hoping another 100%), but my company took a nose-dive, so probably 0% of the remaining.

I'll probably get about $2000 before taxes I'm guessing, which will definitely be nice, but no raise. Oh well.

Unemployed - Obama gives me an extra $25 each week in my unemployment check to make the pain lighter.

I'll be joining the workforce soon enough.

My comrades who are still employed are under no raises, no profit sharing (year 2) and no bonuses. They also are enduring 19% increase to their medical benefits cost. Their workload also increased by 20 - 50% based on level.

The announced that our 10% paycut will end in December. There MIGHT be raises in March but that's still up in the air.

As a soon-to-be college grad, I'm just glad to have a (well-paying) job lined up. Signing bonus was lower than I expected but /shrug economy.

I'm in the camp of "If I get to keep my job this year it's like a party, a raise, and a bonus all rolled into one."

Job still intact. After about a year of reduced 401k matching they did recently knock that back up to where it used to be.

BTW, we're having a Thanksgiving party today. Of course we are all making due and bringing our own stuff but hey, that's what being frugal is all about. It isn't really the companies duty to provide us with a wonderful fried turkey. I guarantee you anything company provided would suck much worse than what we've done for ourselves.

Nothing here. No raises, no bonuses, no Christmas party. However they did give us a 15% increase in health premiums while the CEO told everyone to stop using the health care benefits and get fit.

However, I have a job and I am happy with that.

I got a 9% raise. We are having a Christmas party in two weeks, and that's when we get our bonuses. I have no idea how big that's gonna be though.

We had donuts yesterday, sweet holiday bread pastry thing from Panera this morning and we're getting pizza for lunch.

I think the entire fabric of space and time has been torn asunder.

No bonuses here.

No bonus. No raise, they froze all raises this year. Company cancled 401k match. Company added more hours and mandatory OT and extended my deptment's hours from 5 PM till 8 PM. Assigned new job titles that make us salary instead of hourly, so we all took a huge pay cut. (Told us about the change and then started it 2 days later) New job titles also demoted everyone in my department, so most are back to a level 1 pay scale and level 1 or 2 job position....

So yeah things are not so fun.

I found out our plant is closing and our severence package has been cancelled. Thirty-two years of loyal service down the tubes.
Yep, things are looking up!!!!!

Nothing for us either - no bonus, no party, and I wouldn't be surprised to hear no raise at all even COL.

But I'm in a market hit heavily by all of this, and I love the company so I'll stick around. Hopefully they do too.

Raises and bonuses are returning this year, though the Christmas bonus will be small (I'll be amazed if I get 2K) but hopefully by the time our fiscal year-end rolls around the bonuses will have ratcheted back up to at least 60% of where they used to be. No idea what to expect from the raises since we are tweaking the rating system right now.

Christmas party is always a go around here, I don' think they have ever cancelled one.

ours isnt really a holiday bonus fully. the hourly people get a holiday bonus, but the management gets profit checks. its based on a % of the profits for all our closed jobs over the last year with modifiers for early completion. im hoping we even get one this year, i know we had a bunch of projects complete early as well as way under bid.

the only bonus I get is if the injury payouts for the year are below what was budgeted.

I get a COL raise every year, which is always smaller than the actual change in cost of living
