Yeeeeeeeep! Dave Hester fired from Storage Wars

Couldn't keep his mouth shut, started going public about A&E rigging the show (like everyone on the planet didn't know that), so they fired him and now he's suing.

"Storage Wars" star David Hester has filed a big new lawsuit against A&E Television Networks, contending that he was wrongfully terminated and that the highly-rated series is rigged.

In a complaint filed on Tuesday in LA Superior Court against A&E and producer Original Productions, Hester alleges "A&E has committed a fraud on the public and its television audience in violation of the Communications Act of 1934, which makes it illegal for broadcasters to rig a contest of intellectual skill with the intent to deceive the viewing public."

I love the show (mostly because of Barry...that guy needs his own show), but I would always make fun of their cliche "Wait...what is THIS?!" exclamation right before cutting to a commercial. It's just supposed to be a fun show that sneaks a history/trivia lesson in to make it interesting. Dave was more annoying than anything. Can't say I'm sorry to see him go.

Always thought the show was rigged. They always seem to get a locker full or crap but somehow there is an amazing valuable item there in the locker for them to find.

When you think about it most people that are hurting for money and can't afford to pay their rental fee for the locker would know they are in trouble and would come to the locker and remove all the really valuable items.

Probably the only time good stuff gets left behind is when someone dies and the family didn't know about the locker.

I personally think those guys are kind of scummy. They basically prey on these people that can't pay their rent and take all their stuff. I wonder if they come across a box of family photos and important documents and just throw them in the dumpster instead of giving them back to the family. Or I bet they try to contact the family afterwards and try to sell back their stuff to them.

Hester made a lot of money for the show. They need to get rid of Brandon and his deadbeat dad. They are the most uninteresting people out there. That said, I haven't watched the show in months.

Half the new stuff they come out gets canceled for a reason.

I don't think they could do that. These places are locked down and you would have to get by the security gate first. I would think any storage place run by someone with half a brain would not allow people past due to get into their lockers, at least at some point.

I think it is also the case that some people don't understand the worth of items or maybe even forgotten what they had. Of maybe they are in jail or dead? Clearly in a lot of these, if they were true, the item could be sold to pay the locker fees.

I actually talked with someone that use to bid on the things before the show became popular. They have stopped now because too many people show up and the lockers have gotten too expensive. She said, that people use to come and bid on their own lockers because it was cheaper than paying what was owed. Apparently, that usually isn't the case anymore.

what KiethP said is correct. when you get late on your payment the storage company puts their own lock on the unit. alos what you said about somebody dying and nobody in the family knows about the locker is also correct.

because of this show i have been to several storage auctions. never bought anything but i have fun seeing how much junk sells for and who is buying.

I like all the characters on the original storage wars. I do wish that Brandon did kick Daves ass when they got into it last season. I do have to ask why is dave doing this and how much he was getting paid by the show. does he think he can get more money out of A&E by a wrongful termination lawsuit than what his normal pay was? why bite the hand that feeds you?

yea even ont he show lockers are stupid expensive which trickles down to other auctions. Personally i have seen lockers with absolute junk in them go for just under a grand and none of it was resealable items. Lots of fools out there that's for sure.

Berry is too. he got filthy rich by owning a produce market in LA. then he got into antiques and was very successful at that as well. please do your homework before you bash somebody.
