ok i dont know whos the devil in this situation, but this little thing doesnt let me sleep because it keeps jumping from place to place, shuffles and ruffles everywhere making noise.
acts as a freaking alarm clock before i wake up.

in retaliation i have tried starving it, bodyslamming (only once), thrown the thing 5 feet in the air without catching it. chased it around the house trying to give him a heart attack from nervousness. all in good fun of course.

sometimes he plays nice obviously when hes hungry and rubs against me and shows some love, this part i like, but all other times its hiss and more hiss.

i held it yesterday and it pierced me with its claw, so in retaliation i dropped it into the ground with my gf observing...she went ape shit on me.

what can i do to remedy the situation, i cant get rid of him, she wont..
is there anyway me and the cat can be friends again? how the hell you appologize to a cat after months of abuse? i feel bad lol.
the gf got into a big argument with me. all her family has pets, mine has none and never did so this is a big change.

this is the spoiled rotten monster, gotta admit hes good entertainment.

Get a dog that likes to chase cats! Keep the dog in the bedroom at night to keep the kitty away.

How old is the cat? Kittens have a lot of energy, and it might help to get some cat toys to help the cat burn some of that energy off.

it sounds like you arent much of a cat person and therefore do not understand his behaviour and how to work with him.

I fucking love cats.

We took care of this girl's cat a few times. It pwned. We'd leave our doors a little bit open when we went to bed cause the little dude would fire around early in the morning to each of our bedrooms, pounce up on our beds and shit, then just sorta plop down right on my head (not sure why he felt the need to sit right on my head). Then he'd purr like a little motorcycle.

We had a party one night and he was all strung out like the rest of us the next day (tho he was just tired)... I'd just sort of push him over and he'd not care and just lay there. When the girl came to get him back, I told her I'd take care of him anytime whether she is gone or not, and she was like "uhh that's kind of weird, to you know, want to borrow my cat..." heh

They can be little fuckers at times (like in OP), but man they are awesome.

So wish I could have one, but I'm quite allergic to them (3 out of 4 on the test thing).

Cats don't respond to punishment the way you want them to. They only associate you with the punishment, not their actions. Basically all you've done is taught your cat that you like to torment it and in some cases physically harm it . Your cat is doing what just about every other cat in history did. It wakes up at a certain time and is saying hello and trying to get fed and/or attention.

You've conditioned it to be playful and non-trusting. You have to earn its trust. No yelling, sudden quick movements, or dropping. Be consistent.

My cat knows that if I'm trying to surprise her, that's her cue to play with me. But I can mess with her by holding her tail and not letting her get away, or grabbing her hind leg with my toe or hand and not letting her move it (funny to watch her try to jerk it away), and she still won't run off when I let go. Just turns around and rubs on me.

I think the g/f should get rid of you and keep the cat.
