Latest in the saga:
In the neverending story Sears has changed again. The set can be purchased in the store where in stock and can be ordered online for instore delivery. Stocks are low. Nearest Sears had only 4 in stock and according to the salesperson, there were only 140 available from Sears for stores to order. I purchased one at about 2:00 a.m. for instore delivery to be sure I could get one of the few in stock. But, before doinbg so we checked with the local Bestbuy to see if they would price match and they said yes, if they had it in stock, so for anyone still looking, there are pricematches possible. Unfortunately, the BB I checked did not have it in.
I picked the set up this afternoon. See my latest post in the thread for my review. I am placing it there because that is the point where most are asking about reviews.
old stuff: Local Sears had me forward my email to Sears and they forwarded it to Corporate because it shows as about 1500 in the system. Corporate says it is fraudulent and will begin an investigation.
Called a company owned store and they got the same results. I doubt that they will honor the advertised price but won't know till I hear back from Sears, which may not be until Monday.
Good luck to others looking at the deal.
Edited again. Yesterday's links were all screwed up and usually led to an error type page, but sometimes led to the TV still priced at over 1400. Often the link would not open at all, and neither would Sears.com (at least for me.) I supposed that maybe the link was not operating correctly until the special price was to be in effect, so tried following the email link to the item and it works, but the TV is still listed at over 1400. The special sale items for hours from 9-12 a.m. do not include tha TV either. The nearest I could find was a 32" version for around 750 if I correctly recall (2 lazy to look more). So, maybe the emailed special offer was a listing mistake. Or, maybe since the store does not open till 9:00 the price will not fall till then.
Anyone have any idea what is going on, price mistake or other??

For a well-known name like this, the price seems hot. Received email with the special price but site still has listed at $1424.
Bad news is that it does not have a tuner.
