If I were to speak a bit broader, these activists often hurt their own cause by becoming obsessed with it. Seeing everything through an "ism" filter is a sure fire way to turn into The Boy Who Cried Wolf, ultimately just preaching to the converted.

Well, she pulled out some decent information such as the names of three women that left video games because of harassment in the work place. She shows the slides of how few women work in video games. You can look at the death threats and other tweets coming in. I think she does a bad job of trying to paint everyone with a broad brush. I'd be interested in hearing her side of the story in a long form article with a lot of information. I wish a gaming website would actually dig deep into this and pull out some facts.

It bugs me when one person does something and it gets pluralized to mysoginists or threats to sensationalize it. It was a terrible thing, but it was only one person.
If these people start saying everything is discrimination when it isn't, or exaggerating discrimination too much, then when they actually point something out legitimately, no one is going to believe them.
