They sure should but they won’t
This is so true.

Except for a Democrat on the committee having a count down clock going during the hearings.

The White House press office sending out updates every thirty minutes during the hearings about how close the government is to shutting down and the GOP is wasting time grandstanding.

This has nothing to do with any one man and has everything to do with our people.
It is how the media they consume speaks to them, with propaganda, and radicalizes them. Humans are extremely prone to radicalization because we have no tether to reality. A group may believe in and desire the truth, but nothing is going to keep people in said group. Especially with Rush Limbaugh and Fox News picking away at them. Then social media just poured fuel onto the fire they had already started.

No one person disappearing will stop this process, or alter it in any meaningful way.
So long as free speech is abused as a rallying cry for madness, then there will eventually be madness, and blood.

For the GOP'ers, their version of free speech is their ability to freely lie their asses off as a means to avoid and deflect from the reality that their policies and the legislation that manifests itself from those policies are wholly unpopular with the majority of the people of the nation. Ergo, their goal is to ram their unpopular policies down the throats of the majority by seizing the reins of power via every authoritarian/autocratic means at their disposal.

This is exactly something I would do. Have one of those big digital clocks just sitting there on my little square of congress, ticking ticking ticking down.

Once again the Party of Fiscal Discipline™ is showing their true color of simply being a Party of Dysfunction and Waste. How much money is wasted with every shutdown? Between workers getting back pay for the period of time they legally weren't allowed to work, change orders that have to be issued to delay projects leading to additional costs, the lost time induced by shutdowns and start ups, etc

I'll be flying down to DC next week, then flying to the west coast and crossing the border into Canada, then coming back to the US a week later and flying back to DC.

With the FAA re-authorization pending and gov't shutdown looming, I'm going to be interacting with a lot of federal agencies while they're not getting paid. Awesome.

JD Vance complaining that Biden and McCarthy sit down and hash it out, nevermind that they already got a deal for spending levels during the debt negotiation, and now Republicans are trying to weasel out of their deal.

Yeah I’m sure Biden feels like doing another deal when they couldn’t stick to the last one. He’s gonna let them twist.

Larry Hogan also laying the blame on Biden. Hey dipshit that refused to vote Biden in 2020, clean up your house before complaining about the other party.

Hogan, and the like of so-called Moderate Republicans, need to sit down. The dysfunction is calling from inside the House (and the Party).

LOL at blaming Biden when the House Republicans haven't even passed a bill for Biden to look at.

This was so predictable. When the pathetic, worthless McCarthy sold his soul to the likes of MTG, and Gaetz for being speaker, this was inevitable. There is no looming, it will be.

The Republicans finally got a bill to the House floor and their own members scuttled it. This is a good thing because 1) the Senate wasn't going to pass it so killing the bill in the House was a time saver and 2) the bill was perfectly awful, not a CR as the Republican leadership pretends, but a draconian budget chainsaw that even some Republicans couldn't stomach. "Cross the board" budget cuts are for lazy politicians who didn't do their jobs. Conservatives are incapable of governing; their broken ideology doesn't allow it.

This is the message the Dems need to put out there, and keep doing so until maybe it starts sinking in for the general populace. GOP wasting time on an impeachment where they have nothing to back it up while being hours from a gov't shutdown is beyond ludicrous to me, and should be to anyone that takes a second or two to think about it.

They sure should but they won’t
Put it out there where?

Haha another one of the repugs is calling Gaetz a "charlatan." Like we hadn't figured out years ago that Gaetz is a scumbag.

Besides, the entire GOP is a party of charlatans. Gaetz is just slightly more obvious about it.
