Killed 8 civilians more today.....where is the video of the screaming Jewish mom's? Where is the International outrage? When is the UN, EU, etc... going to call for an end to the bombings?

Sorry, you won't see it, because all of the pro-Palestinian weenies here on ATOT and elsewhere refuse to condemn suicide bombing. They believe that blowing up buses, restaurants, hotels, and otherwise deliberately targeting civilians (including children) is completely justified.

Bush and the EU told Sharon to pull out and he refused. So, we can argue we told you so. I don't like the deaths of civilians whether they be jew or palestinian. BTW, the Hamas threatened Israel and basically said that they would try a new terrifying attack on them next. I'm thinking either chemical or biological weapons....either that or blowing up schools. It's about the only atrocity that they haven't done.

Nothing is going to get done until Sharon is removed from office though because he hates Palestine too much..ditto for Arafat, and the heads of the other Palestinian terrorist organizations.

What? This would only work if there were no suicide bombings before but there were - in actual fact the bombings have decreased since the Israelis occupied. Yes this one and the one against the soldiers were powerful but the number of bombings has gone down.

Israel was getting hammered. I don't like sharon any more than the next person but it's painfully clear that negotiations were doing NOTHING. How would you feel if there was a plane crashed into a building twice a week? I think you'd support the US military getting dirty fast with whoever is doing it.

And I don't think most people agree with suicide bombings, but I can understand why the Palestinians are so outraged. This should have been resloved years ago, but most people don't care what is going on in the world unless it has a direct effect on them.

Of course it does - these people aren't killing themselves over a chunk of land for nothing else but the land. They all believe they're going to be martyrs.

myputer - it's a little more difficult than that. This land has changed hands back and forth for centuries. The problem isn't just over a 90 year period. It depends on what point in time you look at. Each party say they are the tru holders of the land. The Jews were chased off the land at one point in time also. Maybe that's why they call it the home land.

What about the crusades for free the Holy Land (the area where Jesus Christ was born) ? There
were alot of arabians killed.
The Coran wasn't the only religion enforced with the sword - look at what the spanish and
portuguese conquistadors did in South America and so on.
So the Israel-Palestina problem is that the actual inhabitants are capable of (and willing to) fight,
unlike let's say the american indians.
I disagree with the actions of killing civilians of both arabs and israelians, but if I was an arab and
a foreign Israelian army would come in my home, I would think of a fight. Not knife against armored
units or choppers, but I would revenge that.

Arafat, and the other leaders know that in last 50 years the Israeli people have advanced the land, built cities, created fertile soil and become productive members of the world. The palastenians are still bickering and b!tching that they didn't get their state. Yeah, well the world isn't fair and the UK gave them that land, so get over it. Drum up some support from Palastenian friends and get some land somewhere for yourself. Rightful ownership? You have to be kidding. If I were an Israeli, I'd try to stay away from busses at this point.

But yes, I did hear 100 or so Palestineans were killed in the military actioin. Terrorist or not, that's a lot of people. This will likely make folks very upset and spawn new suicide bombers.

Thats the difference. When Israelies are killed and specifically targeted Civilian Israelies are killed, there is no outcry.

Israelies are specifically going after terrorists hiding in civilian populations.

Palestinians are going after civilians specifically in civilian populations.
