Yet another reason I hate you...
You only have yourself to blame, living in Michigan...

last week I ordered an SSD on Friday, it shipped Saturday and was scheduled to be delivered on Monday.
It arrived Sunday before noon.
2 orders before that, my deliveries missed the deadline by one day. I got on chat with Amazon 10 minutes after the missed delivery time on each event (usually 8pm), and they refunded the delivery (I had paid the extra $4 or $5 for one day delivery), and they refunded each one and gave me an extra month of Prime.
It's weird--I don't understand the point of paying extra for faster delivery, when it never arrives on time in my case (not the only two times that has happened), and tends to arrive faster than expected with Prime free shipping.
Does the system put you in the non-Prime member pool when you click on the faster delivery option?
Actually if you like good meat, this is a great place. Its easy as pie to get 1/4, 1/2 or even a full cow. And that is the good stuff, grass fed, natural, real meat. I just don't have the space for it and don't cook enough to justify buying a dedicated freezer.
In the late summer/ early fall you can literally drive out to the country and buy field fresh fruits and veggies. Honeycrisps? There are 4 or 5 orchards withing a few miles to buy them.
And we don't have to deal with a city that smells like pee.
If you order things and don't need them with 2 days delivery, then Amazon offers you $1 in credit for instant video/mp3s.
When did this turn into a First World Problems thread?
So I ordered two things for same day delivery on Sunday. They were garaunteed to be delivered by Lonestar Ovenight by 9pm on Sunday. They did not deliver it yesterday.
What did they say when you emailed them?
Amazon is going to refund the $5.99. Its still annoying. Their same day has never worked for me. This is the second time I've used the service and neither time were the packages delivered ANYWHERE near same day(its going to be 2 days late in both cases now). It annoys me because I had things to do yesterday but had to wait around for a package that never came.
This is the scan log of the package for yesterday and today.

I hate that. The only times I haven't got packages on time were because of the shipping company, not Amazon. I just give the UPS guy shit rather than deal with Amazon. We see the delivery guys every day, so we have a good relationship with them.
Who are they using for Sunday delivery in your area?
Post office. I've had them deliver to me on a Sunday.
In other words...Prime is worth the money. Yes the movie selection sucks. Yes its $100. But the fast shipping pays for itself in a few uses.
Only if you need things right away and can't get $35 for the free shipping. I liked the fast shipping but it would save me $0 since I bundle my orders. And I've made over 30 orders since last year. One negative with Prime is that it makes you spend money to buy something you ordinarily wouldn't have bought... since hey, you're paying to have free shipping and you'll have it by clicking a few buttons. I experienced that feeling first hand when I had Prime.
I think I made 30 orders last month.
I hate you as well!
FFS...We are the 2nd largest city in Michigan. We should have this before some podunk town in KS!!!!
