When I showed my friend, who happens to love Apple, he looked sick. He did not say anything to me. He just put his hands on his head and was in shock.

That kid is a complete moron. The POS mini-ITX athlon mobo he stuck in the g5 tower doesnt even have AGP... so its not like he can say he did it to play games.

He says he is going to use it for ripping DVDs browsing and chatting online... hello? OSX is perfect for that stuff. And speaking of stupidity he says he 'gave all the parts from the g5' to his friend who is going to try to put them in a g3 tower. What a waste, I wish someone had told this tool that he could have bought a g5 case for $200 and than sold the dual 2.0 G5 system for like $2000. Then maybe he could afford some half deacent components for his computer... instead of some integrated video mini-ITX POS mobo.

This kid deserves an emachine not a g5... and not one of the new reliable emachines, one of the old ones. Like a 433id or something. Perfect for his needs and skills.

hell I dish macs all the time (overpriced like hell) but if I got a G5 man I'd be definetly using it. a dual G5 is a very powerfull system. overpriced but definetly extremely powerfull.

If he were rich he'd have 1) bought a better motherboard, or 2) bought the SATA controller he mentioned he couldn't afford or 3) bought his own computer instead of being given, as a gift, a G5. Now, having said that, it is too bad he did this. If I were given a G5 you had better believe I would start to become more Mac friendly . As it is, the only real reasons I don't use a Mac is that it's too expensive. I can't build it myself. Too expensive.

If someone gave me a mac, I would definitely sell it. THere's plenty of suckers out there who would buy one. I wouldn't ruin it\give it away though.

wut i think on this is the dude just did all of that to make some ppl think then put all the apple stuff back in. i mean come on if a computer user that hates apple get's an apple they would at least sell it! this dude if he really did this and i was his parents he would be lving else where but not in my walls.
