CompUSA clearances are usually nation wide. This may be VERY FRIGGIN' HOT. I'm calling my my local KompUSSRs right now.

It's not the S200 that I want, but it's also much cheaper

They're all out at the two stores I called. It sounds like this started a long time ago so it's most likely a DEAD DEAL.

I found a store that has them. They are new and not open box $199. He said they had one open box but could not sell because they had to sell the others first.. He said you gotta be in the right place at the right time.

This is very YMMV. I wouldn't call this an official clearance. It's more of a customer return/demo get rid of as soon as possible. I've gotten a lot of open box stuff at the SF CompUSA, but those prices have no corellation to any other CompUSA I've ever been too.

Price for the 2800 online still shows up at $299.97--though Compusa.com shows "limited quantities" for Independence/Hwy. 74 location in Charlotte and "out-of-stock" for the Carolina Pavilion store. In my experience "limited quantities" means the price on the web is old, and that it will scan for less at the register!!

Like I said. I was told $199 for the new ones. He did not quote a price on the Open Box display model. Just told me I would have to be lucky to get it. That he couldn't sell it until the other new ones were gone. I am heading there tomorrow to see if I can't sweet talk them out of it.

You all get a Fuji 2800 yet? If not I'd get something else as I've owned a 2800 and it was pretty bad especially indoors. unless you can get it under $100 I'd pass and look to cannon or olympus. just trying to help. Just an opinion but I've owned alot of digicams and was not impressed at all by this cam as it also felt quite cheap.

no one will get a brand new 2800 for $50. At 1 store someone probably returned it a long time ago. CrapUSA employees probably lost all the accessoreis for it like a bunch of retards. Now they just want to get rid of it. Kudos to anyone that does find another, but these will be few and far inbetween.
