YMMV Great Deal!! Samsung 2693Hm 25.5" monitor $284.99!

This is definatly a YMMV, I bought 4 at my local BB, they were listed as 550 but after asking to speak to the manager he took the price to clearance price at 284.99, found this deal on a different site and thought id post it here for you guys. It's an amazing deal!

Basically I verified the price, which he stated as 550. Then informed him many best buys are selling them clearance price for 284.99, I then said in a very casual way, if you want to make a quick sale and get rid of your inventory ill buy them at that same price and you wont have to worry about putting them on display in the clearance rack. He laughed and agreed to sell then to me after verifying stores are putting them as clearance just tell them to verify the price in so. calif and minnesota and AZ.

I guess I should have haggled with the manager? There were two left in a BB 15 miles away and it cost $440 after tax. Still a good deal though so I didn't want to go away empty handed.

I went looking everywhere, and none of them had them in stock. There were a few about 50-60 miles away from me supposedly in stock, however when I called, there were none in stock.

yeah unfortunatly it is very much YMMV, that combined with people hording these things up, my friend and I bought 4. So its hit and miss.

Well my local BB has two more and they dropped the price from the $348 I paid for my first one to $290. I am getting a refund price protection and buying the other two....happy camper!

Found one at a BB in Socal, but they rang it up as $490 or something. Then I called (from outside the store) and she just checked the online price. What's the best way to get them to play ball here? I really could use this for my development work (help a grad student get his Ph.D.!)

My BestBuy store here in Chicago said if I could produce a sales receipt they would match that price.

I am....I like it. This is my first LCD as I have been a CRT guys for gaming so I was expecting the worst but no issues to report. There is some light "bleeding" on the sides but the pros far outweight the cons.

hmm, I dont have a scanner atm or I would scan mine here for you guys, sorry. Unfortunatly if you get a jerk for a manager they wont do anything, you can always try a different best buy or wait til that manager is off duty and try a different one.

There are few stores in MN that have this model in stock and, of the ones that do, none that I found had it listed at $284.99. They are listed as clearance, but they're nowhere near that price.

So, unless there's something more to this, verifying the price in MN will not get you this deal.

I got the last one in Lexington, SC and it was worth every penny. Came out to just a little over $300 with tax. This LCD replaced my 2208WFP and although the image quality isn't as good, it's still rather nice and a steal for this low price. The Dell just had much richer blacks (I've tuned it with a few online guides and with the included software but it just isn't quite there yet).

Anyone got any specific configs (Contrast/Brightness/Color Warmth) they would like to share?
