I went to the local store specifically for the Platinum Ex. Posted on the shelf was a sign saying the ad was in error, should be the Platinum only, not the Platinum Ex, apolgize for any inconvenience...blah, blah, blah.
I took the Platinum EX with ad in hand to the check out. The clerk asked if I was ready and I told him it all depends and handed him the box. He didn't even hesitate, said it was a printing error but that was what was advertised. He had to call the manager over to override the price. No argument or anything.
It would be different if the the description and the photo didn't match. But, a store cannot expect the customer to know that the SKU number doesn't match the photo and product description. It begins to border upon bait and switch, false advertising...you name it.
So, if you want this deal. I would suggest you go to the B&M with ad in hand, same as me. If it is stocked, take it to a counter, be courteous but firm. You should have no problem. If you get a hard time, ask for the manager, and tell him you want to buy what is advertised. The photo of the box and the product description are very clear. Good luck.
