YMMV: Nintendo DS for $99 at Target until December 12

No one here that works at target to confirm this? I know the december ad is quite convincing, but I was hoping for this to start on BF (I don't see this on their BF deals).

At my walmart the SPs were all the "brighter new screen" ones, so I'm hoping they won't break out the older models for the $50 BF sale.

Yes, it seems that it will be honored till December 12th if you bring a copy of the catalog (the joystiq guys say a screen capture should also be valid).

Does anyone know if the actual catalogs are available in stores (like the staples ones), or are they order-only?

You have to use the flash search box.

1. Go here.
2. Enter "ds" in the search catalog box. No quotes, no other letters or words. Notice that this is the search box on the left side and is part of the flash ad, it is NOT the search box at the top of the page.
3. Click the first result.

I got it by bringing the printed ad to Circuit City and got a price match, the Target store wouldn't do it no matter what I said.

My Target was completely out of DSes but the Circuit City next door had no problems price matching the printed ad. All in all, $28 Mario Kart DS at Target + $100 DS at Circuit City = very good black friday (for me at least)

For those that are wondering, I had called Target corporate previously and they stated that the only people getting those catalogs were holders of Target credit cards. So unless you have a Target credit card, your best bet is to just print out the ad and try for a pricematch.

no one gave any hard time over an ad printed off the PC? I figured they might think it is faked or something, considering someone could easily change it on the pc. I might try taking it in to walmart since they are boasting price matching these days.

Thanks, got them to price match at Target. CC said they couldnt, because they called three Targets, and none of them had them in stock. Yet I went down the road about 3 miles, and Target had some cobalt blue ones. I talked them into the $99.99 price, so it still worked out. Got Mario Kart as well, for $28.

Mario Kart DS is $28 in the latest ad I got from Target, but I don't know about your local Target.

man i hit 2 targets... one said no way and they would not pricematch online prices, not even target.com (yes despite the words "in store only). the other said that i had to wait till dec 1st. circuitcity wouldnt PM it either cuz they called target and target said there was no deal.

Definitely a hot deal for the best mobile gaming platform on the market. Still, I'm going to wait for the redesign, as it's sure to be both $99 *and* a fair bit sexier . I expect an E3 2006 unveiling, personally.

Anyone in SoCal pull off this deal with the printed screenshots of the ads? My friend works at Target in Rancho Cucamonga but his supervisor won't allow (despite the fact the Supervisor got two DS's from this typo). Let me know... I still want to buy a DS, my Mario Kart DS is gathering dust...

I"m from Michigan, and i got the ds with almost zero hassle. The girl working electronics called the manager, the manager came over, looked at my "printed" ad for like two secs and told the girl to sell it to me for 99.99. The manager mentioned that she knew about the price mistake.
