Trying to find a decent deal on the HD-DVD versions of the Ultimate Matrix Trilogy or Complete Matrix Trilogy which were released today.

Since I missed the WB Deal from April, this seemed like a decent alternative. Too bad the CC deal didn't pan out!

I got a BestBuy coupon mailer the other day, should be dated 5/25-5/28.

Included a coupon for 10% off movies, music, and video games limit 3.

Price match Walmart bringing the price down to 73.87 for ultimate or 63.87 for Complete.
73.87 for Ultimate
63.87 for Complete

Walmart's webpage says online only, so if that doesn't fly you can use Target to pricematch:
73.95 for Ultimate
63.95 for Complete

Apply the 10% off coupon and the Ultimate is $66.48 or for Complete $57.56. YMMV as to whether BB will allow you to apply the coupon after a PM. Sometimes cashiers don't care and will force the 10% off if the computer denies it.

I haven't tried this yet, so again YMMV but it should work. If anyone has found a better deal or a better place to pricematch, let me know!

UPDATE: BestBuy coupon is now available online. Dated 5/23 to 5/28, so you can use it starting TODAY! Thanks to compfreak9999 for the link.

Coupon code does say excludes new DVD Releases, so you can read what you want out of that. Another YMMV. (MODS - Coupon is from bestbuy.com so I think this jives with the rules, if not, please let me know and I will remove link).

FYI- If you buy the Complete Matrix Trilogy, you'll also get a coupon code to download the Animatrix from Xbox Live.
The Ultimate Matrix Trilogy includes the Animatrix on DVD, so no need for the download code.

Regular price on the HD-DVDs is $110 for the Ultimate Matrix set and $99.99 for the Complete Matrix set. BestBuy has it for $90 and $80 respectively. If it works its decent imho. If tax in your state isn't too high, its less than buying it through Amazon or Deep Discount DVD and having to wait week for them to ship it.

Ultimate Edition is crap. The other two discs are DVD's. Was really looking foward to seein the Animatrix in HD. But it's SD, pretty much the same as the original Animatrix DVD I already have.

As an FYI, if you buy the Complete Matrix Trilogy, you will get a coupon code in the box to download the Animatrix from Xbox Live. Thats assuming you have a 360, and a Xbox Live Silver account. But if you do that makes the Complete version more attractive.
