Ran across this last night walking through Bestbuy. They have the Creative sound blaster x-fi extreme gamer fatality series sound card on clearance for $61.99.
Be aware, that with all BB clearances, not all stores switch to the clearance price. If your nearest bestbuy has the card but not the clearance price, then you have the following options at your disposal to try and get the price.
a) ask a manager to price match the clearance price. This is the easiest and fastest method. Depending upon how much an ahole the manager at your store is, this can be easy and pleasant or not. If you already know your local BB manager, then try the next option.
b) Have a sales rep do a item lookup in their system for the sound card. I don't remember the SKU number off the top of my head, so just get the tag off the shelf. When they do an item look up, have them select, "Check Other Locations" to see if there are any other stores nearby with the card on clearance and in stock.
c) If you can't get the manager to adjust the price to the clearance price, and there are no other stores with the card in stock, BUT the other stores have the price listed for the card at the correct clearance price of $61.99 then this can be done. Buy the card at the current store for the non clearance price. Then head over to another store with the cheaper clearance price. Go up to the customer service desk and ask for a price adjustment. Little more work, and depending on how far the nearest BB is with the clearance price it may or may nor be feasible, but it is an option that always works.
Good luck and happy hunting for the card!
