Yonah, or wait for Merom

Hey guys, I am in the market to pick up a nice laptop. I was looking to pick it up immediately, but I can afford to wait if its worth it, I suppose. I know that Merom should be able to be dropped right into a Yonah socket, but if I go will dell, which I probably would for my laptop needs, do you even think they will throw out some updated bios and such? I, myself, would tend to think dell would just rather have someone buy a new laptop instead . So, supposing that we see Merom at the big retailers like Dell and HP in Aug/September, do you think its worth waiting for that time, or buying now and hoping for the ability to upgrade?

BS, the bios is already in testing. D420s, D620s and D820s are merom compatible.

it'll still be released then, but dont expect any notebooks to actually have them for months after. look what happened to the turion x2.

Apples and Oranges, Intel will be shipping in volume. Look at Dell, you've been able to order a Woodcrest server or workstation since Sunday night and the chip was officially released on Monday.
