I am frankly flabbergasted that Romney's election campaign survived his 47% comments. He insulted nearly half of the people living in the US. What would he had to have done to alienate the entire electorate, piss on your flag?

It reminds me of a Futurama episode with Richard Nixon's head making comments that he didn't realise were being recorded:

"Nixon: Listen here, Missy. Computers may be twice as fast as they were in 1973, but your average voter is as drunk and stupid as ever. The only thing that's different is me; I've become bitter, and let's face it, crazy over the years. And once I'm swept into office, I'll sell our children's organs to zoos for meat, and I'll go into people's houses at night and wreck up the place. Muahahaha!"

The reason the 47% comment wasnt a bigger issue is because a majority of those 47%ers don't even realize they are one.

The president has much less influence on the economy than he gets credit/blame for.

I am mainly against Romney because he plans to expand the military by an extra 4 Trillion. I'd much rather see it go toward "socialist" polices than have it go to the money pit that is the pentagon.

I can't understand how the Repubs can be the party of fiscal responsibility but have a military budget on this level because at least money that goes to social programs I feel is only half wasted whereas any extra money that goes to the Defense budget is 100% wasted.

Too late, you should have thought about that before you voted. Say hello to 4 more years of increase debt, increase taxes, increase tax payer funded health care, decrease stock market, decreased home values, and decreased education.

Change??? - That's his catch phrase b/c change (and not dollar bills yo!) is all you'll have left in your pockets when he's done with you.

you realize the dow was around 6000 when Obama took over.

At least your mouth foaming rants should be accurate.

No matter who wins between the big 2 we can kiss our money good bye. Unless you are rich then you are fine no matter what. This election features 2 big spenders who will both rack up debt at a record pace. Anyone who voted for either of these 2 are part of the problem. There will be a time we will have to pay the piper thanks to the GOP and democratic parties and their big spending habits.

^^ This - Romney could literally walk around with a burlap sack on his head and just make gutteral sounds during interviews, calling voters a festering pile of dog snot, and would still hit the 45%+ mark in terms of votes.

I was under the impression that all members of AT were in the 1%. This is clearly not the case though or they would not vote Obama.

Yes, but statistically speaking, look towards a person living with you, which one of you did Romney just call a good-for-nothing scrounger?

I agree OP. For some reason several people on this board are anti-american, socialist, and love giving the government their hard earned money.

Remember the saying, give a mouse a cookie and he will want a glass of milk? This is exactly how government works. They rationalize new taxes by saying hey its only a 1% increase! But over time you continue to add up taxes and soon you will be paying an enormous amount in taxes.

Who will pay for mandated programs like Obamacare? Taxpayers.

But you know its OK. I wouldn't want anyone to change their vote because I want people to get exactly what is coming to them. If the US is stupid enough to re-elect Obama, let them get taxed to death. Let them lose their 2nd amendment rights. Let the government redistribute your money.

Lol a 1% tax increase equals being taxed to death! Health care costs have been rising year over year, no matter how you look at it you would be keeping less of your money anyway so the question becomes; do you want something for the more money you are spending? Most people would say yes.

The rest of your rant is just pure bullshit.

I just kissed all the money I had in my pocket. I don't think the bank will let me come in, withdraw everything, kiss it, and put it back.
