You keep on saying the Athlon 4 vs. P4, for example a 1.2 vs. 1.7P4. Yeah, well haven't you seen the benchmarks for Tualatin 512KB cache? It trounces the Athlon at similar clock speeds. If they went and shrunk the die of the PIII and added twice as much cache as well as some core refinements, the northwood revision of the P4 has the same changes coming, and coupled with 2.0GHz clock speeds, Intel will soon again be up front. This is not intended to anger anyone, but I feel it is good news and will yet again add competition in the CPU market.
