Did you ever get clothing, keychains, pens, blankets, et cetera that were your school's colors or maybe had their mascot or had something to resemble the school?

No, I do not wear anything from my school. In fact, I try to wear as few band names as possible.

I do not advertise company logos on my body.

I'm thinking about getting UO clothing and wearing it at UW. :awe: I just like the ducks colors more.

If you want to give away free advertising, do something for me.

I really couldn't care less about such things, but have a sweatshirt with the logo of one of the schools I went to it - one day a year all the high school faculty are "required" to wear clothing with their university's logo on it.

Yes, but just a couple t-shirts and a sweatshirt. The stuff was always over-priced. I have one t-shirt now. However, I had a lot of clothing with my fraternity letters on them.

the only people i knew who bought that crap was kids on the VA disabled program.

on that program, after kids bought all their brand-new! textbooks at the bookstore on their financial aid from the VA, with the money they had left over they would buy all sorts of unnecessary supplies and apparel that they would never wear, just so they can spend the VA's money.

these are the same kids that would never show up or flunk out of a course, and couldnt wait until book buyback came when they cashed their brand new textbooks for pennies on the dollar. but hey, i guess thats cigarette money, huh?

Anyone who went to Virginia Tech is probably voting a resounding yes to this (including me).

All it takes is a quick walk around campus any given day of the year and you'll notice that everyone wears maroon & orange (visitors comment on this all the time).

The school makes it pretty easy to do so... There are just too many free/cheap shirts you can get. Orange Effect, Maroon Effect, Whiteout, Blackout shirts are all ~$5 a piece, and it seems like every club/organization/activity at VT has their own shirt with VT logo/colors.

I got various bits of free junk over the years that I used while in college (lanyards, t-shirts, etc) but 7 years out of college, the only thing I think I'd ever wear is my scarf (and it's just a generic striped scarf in the school colors)

Nope. Was pretty anti-school stuff then. I'm back doing my master's now, and just bought my first sketch/composition/note book with the university emblem on it. May be getting a stainless steel mug too for twice the price just for shits and giggles soon. No to clothes...

I bought a couple of UVIC t-shirts when I attended, and was truly sad when they turned to threads, simply because they were the most comfortable t's I had found in a long time.

I also managed to have the winning suggestion for design of the economics students society t-shirt for my graduating year, but it was a horrible piece of fabric, so I hardly ever wore it.

Everyone in the pac-12 are rivals dumb ass. Oregon State fans dislike the ducks and most hate the Huskies. Same goes for Oregon fans.

Well, there are rivalries, and there are rivalries.

The RIVALRIES are: Cal-Stanford, UCLA-USC, Wash-WSU, Oregon-OSU, Arizona-ASU.

Then there are minor rivalries, like Cal-UCLA.

There there is the natural rivalry between all the formerly Pac-10 schools.

That being said, the wearing on campus of the colors of any other conference school is trolling, but in a good way.

Clearly you don't know anything about UofO.
Us Ducks hate the Huskies almost as much as we hate the Beavers.
OSU and UW are enemies. The rest of the conference teams are simply opponents.

I'm not sure where that rivalry started, but Rick Neuheisel is personally responsible for making it much bigger.

And on topic, yes, I wear UofO clothing. I've got a polo that I wear to work with a webfoot logo and quite a few Ducks t-shirts. Despite my disgust at the LSU game, the reality is that the game was lost because of two fumbles by a freshman. I'm still optimistic about a Pac-12 championship.

Seeing as how I'm a VT alumni and one sister is a senior and the other is a sophomore there, yea, I'm pretty obnoxiously supportive of my school. Vanity, polos, sweatshirt, shirts, etc.

Wearing a colors for a school you have no ties to is stupid, but knowing the OP I guess that's not too hard to understand.

Rivalry used to be WVU v. VT, now it's VT v. UVA. We kick their ass in football, they kick our ass in everything else athletic, and we go back and forth on academics.
