Me too....I was a defensive end, I'm glad I wasn't playing. I would of let him take a knee, but i think i'd of had to lay him out if he wanted to score with a shutout at stake.

I liked this story...not so much because Jake got to score a touchdown, but because it proves that high school athletes aren't all mindless jocks picking on weaker kids like everyone seems to think they are. Both teams (and esp. both coaches) showed that high school athletes can have real character.

I agree, to me it's more impressive that he didn't have punk-ass teammates. It said something about them even helping him dress out for games/practices.

I've worked with a kid with fragile X before, I taught him swim. Really nice guy, but it would be very easy for kids to give him a hard time because of his disability. It's really touching that these kids didn't.
