You Don't Know Jack is Back

Had a strange bit of nostalgia for You Don't Know JAck when I heard about digital leisure's "Are You All That?" being released. My hunt took me to Jellyvision, the makers of the game (after panicking when I found out the former publisher, Berkeley Systems has since gone bye bye amidst the coorporate drama with Vivendi, sierra and other on-line shenanigans).

Anyhoo, get YDKJ here that supposedely works on WinXP (apparently a problem with the older versions).

Now if only we could get them to redo Berkeley's afterdark....

Great games! I don't understand how all their older products aren't in every value bin. If I had the cash, I'd invest...

$24.99 is a lot to pay for rereleases... but I absolutely loved the series. I've got all the originals - guess I'll just have to use Compatibility Mode or use Virtual PC.

I've got all the orginals-and they work fine under XP.

Edit: That said, fun games. Probably worth picking up if you don't have them.

I do agree, $25 each is a little much, although I'm probably going to buy them anyway. Too bad that don't have a collector's edition for reduced price.

I know at least with the 5th Dementia, there's a small fix you need to do... it's on the website though.

I think they fixed these new ones so there aren't any problems though. At least they say they fixed any problems that might have arisen....

just old directdraw, directsound issues.

Great series, still hasn't lost its punch (unless you played it 1000 times already). I don't understand how it just fell off the face of the earth as popular as it had been and continued to be.....then it was gone. Maybe there was some messy lawsuit or something.
