The circuit city scanner is the 2400U, not the 4400. The pricematch won't work. Instead of the monitor stand, you can purcahse the Microsoft Streets & Trips Item # 432571 $29.97 software that rickardo40 suggested. The software has a $20 Microsoft rebate (inside the box), scanner has (2) rebates, $30 from visioneer and $30 from staples.

After tax, I am at $4.00 + 3*($0.34 stamps) + envelope/paper/ink cartridge cost.

desibaba, I commented on that monitor stand deal earlier. Good to hear you confirmed it.

apunahus, it's a good thing that our rebate submissions will NOT be fradulent or multiple. Manufacturer and Staples are two separate entities. Who would have thought? So maybe the humor is upon you.

I followed your links and they both took me to the same rebate. On Visioneer, you can print out and mail it to P.O. BOX 9012, Coppell TX or you can use rebateshq.com. On Staples, you can also print out and mail to SAME ADDRESS (P.O. BOX 9012, Coppell TX)??? The only difference is that Staples has the form on their site, or you can get to it on rebateshg.com from Visioneer.

I have the 2400u for free (got it yesterday) and would rather have the 4400, but not certain I can get much more than the single $30 rebate. I was in Staples today and they verified all of this. They told me there is only ONE rebate for the 4400u right now. It is a manufacturers rebate that can be fullfilled EITHER through Staples rebate center or on visioneer's website.

Someone let me know if I'm smoking something.

PO Box 3063 is what it says on my rebate I obtain from the visioneer site.
This leads me to believe they are separate.

Edit: Also, the Visioneer makes no mention of staples. The staples rebate implies that. The Visioneer rebate is limit 3, staples is limit 1. I pieced all of this information together to come up with my conclusion.

You get two $30 rebates. I grabbed two scanners from the local B&M, and the sign explicitly states $14.97 after $60 rebate.

To bump the total on the scanner in order to use a $30 off coupon add the Memorex 48x cd($49.99-$30 MIR).
I got the scanner and cd drive for $10 plus tax($6.50)=$16.50

Another question wont they both want the UPC symbol from the box.. or both the original receipt? How does this work? Also where do I get the Microsoft Rebate form at.. Does that require the original receipt as well for the rebate since the staples one does.. at least the visoneer needs only a copy.. but like I stated they both want the UPC symbol.

The Microsoft rebate is in the box. Staples takes a copy of original UPC and Visioneer requires the original. Placed my order and will get it on Tuesday!
