The Scanner I got was not working ..so I traded it for another one from the store.It works like a champ now...Woooooooo scanner for -$5.09 (assuming i get $80 worth of rebates..too much on stake here !!!).

no messages..but the scanning quality sucked...picture was hardly visible ... i knew it could not be so bad..and hence exchanged it for another one..this one does a good job

Twister00, my experience with Staples is that they will accept packing slip as rebate receipt.

The Visioneer rebate has to be postmarked by March 9th which makes it too late for this deal now.

Did anybody else have a hard time installing the drivers in Windows Me for this scanner? I did.

seems to be very chancey and possibly not worth it, scanner is not that great either, they keep your money for a while for product they can't sell anyway, then you end up not getting one of the rebates and your pissed

Would this be the correct cable to connect my scanner to my usb port on my computer? The cable is like 3 inches too short

on the visioneer rebate form, there is a field "7|8|5|4|1|4|-| | | | | | | |" need to be completed. i can't find the number out of the box? also the upc on the box, it seems like a sticker that staples put on it. can i use it for the visioneer rebate? is it the original upc covered by the sticker?
also, does anyone have the rebate form for february from visioneer?

Yes that is the original UPC from Visoneer. I just got confirmation from Staples today that they will send out my check real soon.

yeah, that cable looks good. but you can go to costco and get a 2 pack of USB cables--one extender and one A-B USB cable--for $6. that is a great price for the extender alone, but you also get the A-B, which is good for mp3 players or digital cameras that use that type of connection.

There is "apparently" a $30 MIR from Staples (that will accept a copy of UPC) and a $30 MIR from Visioneer. The trips has a $20 MIR. So my net, if this happens as planned, is $9.96. Great price (if it happens). (Does it show I'm a skeptic by nature.)
