I left the windows open when I came back from lunch. Probably about a half inch. I don't have shade in my work parking lot so it's just sitting there baking. I thought about getting a shade but like you guys, I'd probably use it for a few days/weeks then say screw it.

The sun shade would also keep your dashboard from cracking or peeling if you don't have a dash mat.

If you have unnecessary windows, you can block them out, and it probably helps a little. I have a third of my rear window blocked by wood, and the driver side rear window is covered in translucent mylar. I do it for heat, and to make it harder seeing what I have inside. Probably easier in a truck.

That's another reason for a sun shade. It makes it harder to see what's inside the car.

I specifically sought out the version of my car without a sunroof, because I plan to keep it a long time, and sunroofs leak eventually (or have other issues). Had them on a few cars, very much over-rated IMO. I have my Miata for when I want the open-air experience.
I don't keep car long enough to worry. And I keep them like a decade. Never had an issue with 3 cars.

We have a gravel parking lot at work so even leaving the windows cracked a little would be a dust disaster for the interior. I wish I could leave them cracked a little to help vent some hot air but nope.....

For fathers day I did get a nice sun shade for the front window which helps a little but the roof is glass which turns the entire fucking thing into a greenhouse full of trapped hot air with no ventilation.

Well I didn't feel much difference between temps yesterday. I've got them cracked open right now and I'll leave it like that all day. I forgot to add my windows are tinted so that supposedly helps. Supposed to be 110F today yay!

I never crack my windows, but they are all tinted. I do use my remote starter and start it a minute before I drive away, just like in the winter.
