Hypothetical. You decide to test your newly created device, but unfortunately, because you're not a great inventor and pressed forward without proper testing or forethought, you time travel into the past without any means to refuel.

So now, you've traveled into the past with the clothes on your back, a video camera, a voice recorder of some sort, and a digital camera, and your time machine has an empty gas tank.

What year did you travel to and where, and what do you do now? Discuss.

Err, bad plan. There's an episode of Journeyman where Dan accidentally leaves his 2007 era digital camera in the early 1970s. It jump starts technology, when he returns to 2007, his desktop is a holographic nanotech device. The corporate war over possession of the camera causes many deaths though. Remember, someone could simply club you, and take the gadgets.

Original premise is flawed. You didn't give a definitive TIME and PLACE that we traveled back to. Depending on where you landed you might get ripped apart on sight, no matter the fancy gadgets you have in your bag or how well you think on your feet.

Based on the orignal thread, you should've said "If you could travel back in time, where would you go and what would you do?"

I'd play it safe for my first time out. No dinosaurs, no Jesus, I'd go back to 2007 or so, but I'd be sure to bring along stock histories, sports records, and a timeline of major events. Now assuming that it hadn't run out on my first safe trip, I'd probably take it to the 2300's to see cool shit.
