Assuming we're talking about in their prime:
Widespread Panic
Smashing Pumpkins
The Rolling Stones
The Jimi Hendrix Experience
Deltron 3030 (Dan the Automator, Del the Funky Homosapien, Kid Koala)
The Gap Band
I generally don't like live music, but this would cover a wide range of tastes for the folks I invite.
Riverside
Opeth
Porcupine Tree
Steven Wilson
Dream Theater (1992-2005)
Genesis (1970-1980)
Awesome music, fantastic when his music was used in films by Satyajit Ray!Ravi Shankar
His music is just so damn powerful.Robert Johnson
Main Stage
Trucks Tedeschi Band
( I Iook down at the floor and I am floating)
The hard part is putting all of this in order - with 6 headlining bands, only 1 can headline! These aren't my 6 favorite bands, or the 6 bands I think are the best in the world, but instead are 6 bands that I think could reasonably fit into a 1 day/night music festival and make sense.
NIN (close)
Tool
Muse
GnR
RHCP
John Mayer Trio (open)
Alive or dead. I am old, school, so here is my Festival line up. Whats yours?

Good stuff in your list as well, I would buy a ticket to that as well. I could have included De Lucia in my list as well...this is one of my favorites of all time.

Agree! Saw the Mahavishnu Orchestra at national theater in DC. Don't remember which iteration of the band though.
Pink Floyd
My Morning Jacket
Earth Wind and Fire
Radiohead
Muddy Waters
The Replacements
I'll let you pick the order.
1. AC/DC
2. Bowie
3. Rush
4. Primus
5. Led Zep
6. Zappa
Just off the top of my head for a Live Rock show at any rate.
Elba, more or less.
I won't elaborate.
It took me a few listens, but I warmed up to Event 2.Deltron 3030; this guy knows what's up. I wanted to like "Event 2" sooooo bad cause I absolutely love their debut album but I was pretty disappointed in it. There's a couple songs on it I like but beyond that I was not impressed at all. It kinda seemed like Del was phoning it in, but maybe I need to give it some more listens. To be fair, though, I was almost immediately grabbed by the first album.
I'll go with:
The Queers
Zero Down
Pulley
Nirvana
CKY (with Jess-Darin-Chad-Matt)
The Lawrence Arms
