The only thing sadder than a grown adult working check out at a fast food joint is all of your self-righteous dolts who come in here and try to defend it. It's pathetic. It's selling oneself short and, unless the guy has a severe mental handicap, he's not even being close to what he could be. Due to lack of ambition or whatever he has a crap job with probably not enough money for an internet connection. So it's better than food stamps. So what? If I only steal twice/month it's better than stealing five times/month. How fvcking lazy can you be to be a grown adult out of your 20's working in about the lowest job in a fast food joint?
I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one Skoorb. You really do not know this guys story whatsoever. How many people on this forum alone have been unemployeed for months? Instead of being unemployeed for months, this guy could've taken a part or full-time job at the fast food joint just to have some money until he lands a decent job.
Also, some people who are retired are not allowed to take jobs that result in an income of over a certain amount of money a year, otherwise they lose their pensions. For example, since my father retired a few years ago at the age of 47, he is not allowed to take a job that makes over $30,000. My father does handy-man work with a friend of his and doesn't have to take a job at a fast food joint, Target, or any other of those stores because he has a craft. So maybe the guy is just having a part-time job for a little extra spending money because he doesn't have a craft or thats all he can find.
Also, I'd rather have this guy have some drive to better himself, however small it may be, then to simply give up on life like so many other thousands have done.
I'm sorry, but judging people without knowing their stories is just assine.
