My oldest brother delivered pizza part time from 20yrs old until he was almost 45yrs old... he had a day job and just delivered three evenings a week... he made almost $18.00 an hour most shifts, with tips and pay. Now, he owns a townhom bought paid and clear... and will retire when he is 55yrs old.

Not sayng that he did all that by delivering pizza, but it certainly helped.

Did you know some of the most brilliant mathematicians are poor at integer mathematics? It happens... I kind of doubt this guy was a mathematician but hey .

I know the OP already see his faults but man, I hate it when people label you from the start.
Yeah, I work at McDonalds but my comeback have always been "well I make around $44K/yr" which if I end up working at McDs for the rest of my life, I'd still be doing OK.

I used to think who are all the people that settle for menial jobs that pay $7/hr but you know the cost of living for everyone is relative.
The people that makes only $1000/month can easily have expenses thats lass than that. Maybe they don't go out as much, pay less for rent, cook for the time.
Then again the people that makes $5000/month may like to buy gadgets all the time, eat out every night, etc...

I know of alot of Asian people that work menial jobs but they are so accustom to living cheap that they have substantial money saved up. Like my Mom.

Seems like you wouldn't even qualify for that job at Wendy's OP ... how many $7 bills have you ever seen?

Edit: kudos for admitting you were in the wrong

LOL...that's what i was thinking.

Nowhere did i mention a $7 bill. I just said $7.00 which could mean many things. I dont want to drag this out anymore. I"ve said enough
Yes, you did mention a $7 bill. Look in the quoted post.

Lol you're right. didn't mean to, was typing in a hurry. I was looking at a post before that. My bad ONCE AGAIN .. Jesus

So now do you see that if you are rushed and thinking about others things, you may make a mistake like miscalculating change?

Consider yourself owned.

The only thing sadder than a grown adult working check out at a fast food joint is all of your self-righteous dolts who come in here and try to defend it. It's pathetic. It's selling oneself short and, unless the guy has a severe mental handicap, he's not even being close to what he could be. Due to lack of ambition or whatever he has a crap job with probably not enough money for an internet connection. So it's better than food stamps. So what? If I only steal twice/month it's better than stealing five times/month. How fvcking lazy can you be to be a grown adult out of your 20's working in about the lowest job in a fast food joint?

I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one Skoorb. You really do not know this guys story whatsoever. How many people on this forum alone have been unemployeed for months? Instead of being unemployeed for months, this guy could've taken a part or full-time job at the fast food joint just to have some money until he lands a decent job.

Also, some people who are retired are not allowed to take jobs that result in an income of over a certain amount of money a year, otherwise they lose their pensions. For example, since my father retired a few years ago at the age of 47, he is not allowed to take a job that makes over $30,000. My father does handy-man work with a friend of his and doesn't have to take a job at a fast food joint, Target, or any other of those stores because he has a craft. So maybe the guy is just having a part-time job for a little extra spending money because he doesn't have a craft or thats all he can find.

Also, I'd rather have this guy have some drive to better himself, however small it may be, then to simply give up on life like so many other thousands have done.

I'm sorry, but judging people without knowing their stories is just assine.

How can you deride my making presumptuous statements and then you go and make one yourself? For your information I'm 35 years old and retired with $5.9 million to my name two years ago, so eat that.

Christ, you people are too anal retentive Obviously it's possible this guy may have something else going on. Maybe somebody said if he works there for an hour he wins a free car. Or maybe he needs one more year behind the counter and can retire on a $100k/year pension.

But, more likely is that he's simply a lazy ass who never got himself a good job. So, while anybody can come up with an unlikely scheme about the reason he's working there the most reasonable assumption is that he is, in fact, simply an old guy who's never had a better job. It doesn't mean he should be shot or doesn't deserve to breath; it means that his job is pitiful.

You high and mighty folks won't be happy being 40 working drive through will you?

No more elite than the other 250 million people in the US who've risen above the lowliest form of labour. It's really not hard to have a job better than fast food. Are you upset that you've not even been promoted to drive thru yet?

You can lie here, but not to yourself. Show of hands who will be proud parents when their 40 year old children, at the peak of their career, are selling food at a drive-thru?

Im a team leader for a direct marketing firm (managing 4 people below me) earning good money actually, with a promotion on the way in the next 2 weeks to surveying... did I mention I've only been with the company 2 months? This, combined with uni studying computer science, and im only 19. So again , shove your "presumptions", you seriously dont know what the hell your on about.

This isnt the first time you've posted crap, I've seen it all before , but I let it go as its not usually worth chasing. This time it is.
