I once wrote a paper on what success is, and how it pertains to any given individual, in college. My contention was/is that each individual has their own set standards and definition of success and how it is achievable. In the end many/most gauge success as some form of monetary or acquired asset(s) as the plateau of success while others (like me) determine success by the level of love/happiness one can achieve, not only for themselves but also for their family and friends. It could be argued that money and assets help that as well, but not unconditionally so...
