Now while it is obvious to me that Tom is more versed on this than we are I would like to point out a glaringly obvious exception to this statement that should have been pointed out to you by myself and for some reason I just brain-farted. Sorry. The ABIT KT7 has been prepared for this since day one and we do cover this power issue on page one of our review when we discuss their 3 Phase Power Solution. I did verify with ABIT a few days ago that their KT133A solution would carry the same power supply devices and they assured me that it would. So it seems as if this will not be a problem for us ABIT owners....

Barring anything else, you'd think that they'd be gracious enought to give out something resembling a release date... It also seems to me that abit may be getting a nice bit of biz since they're the only ones who will be able to put out a kt133a board in anything resembling a reasonable amount of time.

The isuue of 46 amps is not unique to KT133A mobos. If mobo manufacturers have figured the high current demand on the voltage regulators for DDR or Ali-magik mobos, the same solution should work on their 133A. The regulator module on the A7V is seperate from the mobo and should easily be upgradable.

Mobo Manufacturers are rather goofy with their information.. I've noticed that the US version of the websites usually have less information/drivers/updates than the taiwan sites do. So you get all this info from the Taiwan sites, then you have to wonder if your supposed to go by that or go by the one here in the US. for instance, right now the Abit-usa site has the press release concerning the KT7A but no product info.. while the Taiwan site has all the info.
