Laust, you could probably fit your truck in those cylinders if you cut it up . I think the biggest New Sulzer has 12 cylinders with a 63x96 inch bore and stroke :Q
eh, that would it in under my '81 caddilac's hood. I could fit a small country in there if I remove the extra radiator (yes, there is a second radiator in there for the air conditioning, confused me for quite a while.)

So what is that used for anyhow?
I know the engines in Ships are massive and have hundreds of thousands of horse but whats up with that?
I belive the main use for diesels of this size is for ship propulsion and posibly large scale power generation. I guess you need engines this big when you are moving thounsands of tons worth of ship. The largest New Sulzer has ~110,000 horespower and over 5 million pounds of torque.
