Watching some of his other ones, I think he might get annoying as he really reminds me of the people that he's making fun of in these, but still fairly entertaining.

I do take one issue with his rant on names. Skylar/Skyler is not unique at all any more. One of the most overused names lately. Adon/Aden and Kacen/Casen also, and in a way all of them can fit in the second part of his rant about trying to make it unique with stupid spellings.

I know 2 skylers... the one in Breaking Bad, and another is a dude.

The other names you mentioned I've never met a person with that name. Can't say any of those is overused. In the flood of names like Jen, Mike, Mark, etc... those are not common names.

Nothing quite says white trash like Skylar. It's more or less the king bee of trailer park.

There was a LaTara, LaKara, LaSara, and LaFara I ran into...don't get the 'La' significance.

Momma was wearing a shirt about 10 sizes too small and had a hairy belly though...the images still haunt me.

yes...it was a WalMart and why I absolutely try to avoid them.

I once made the mistake of suggesting that parents steer clear of "eu'Neek" spellings of their children's names, but I did it on a message board that was 90% populated by mothers. I pointed out that in a digital world, having impossible-to-spell names is only going to create havoc for their child and cited a couple examples from the workplace.

Suffice to say that the moms did not find this to be useful advice. It was clearly more important to them that their child have a name that may sound like other kids' names, but would never be spelled the same. And the names that are made up just to be different... whew. I'm looking at you, mom of Kershalyn.

Why can't kids be named John, Lisa or Dave anymore? What's wrong with some classic strong names?

I feel sorry for some of these kids. Parents need to think how they would like to be called the names they pick. It might seem cute for a baby, but consider the adult.

Aiden definitely is: http://www.socialsecurity.gov/OACT/babynames/

If you have to deal with people having kids in the past few years you would see it a lot. Same with the other two names I mentioned. The other two aren't real popular, but the reason I mentioned them is that they're fairly popular and also popular for people to use weird spellings to try to make it stand out.

Oh, forgot about Kaleb/Caleb and Jaxon.

Actually most Skyler's I've known are in their twenties. Its weird though, because its like I don't see it and then it was super popular, like people were changing their name to it or something.

My daughter's in the top 10 and my son's over (under?) 200, haha.

My youngest son's name was ranked 7th the year he was born (now 14th). My only daughter isn't in the Top 1000!

I have 4 kids. They have normal names.

Youngest kid has one of those names like Carl/Karl with two common spellings, it drives him nuts that he has to spell it out every time. If he gets official papers of some kind (checks, medical papers, etc) and they're spelled with the wrong spelling, it's a major production to get the spelling corrected - and too many places these days, like IRS, medical insurance, school etc do everything by computer and won't recognize him by the wrong spelling.

Next kid has a very common ordinary girl name. You wouldn't believe the number of people who say "that's a stupid name." Also, very few people remember her name! Not even the relatives, and she was named after a relative.

Older son also has a common name. We missed when we named him, it doesn't suit him at all. We call him by a nickname, and in his real life he uses his first initial with an apostrophe and his middle name. D'John.

Oldest kid is named Nanette. She likes it, it suits her, and it almost never gets misspelled.

One out of 4 isn't bad. Parenting isn't as easy as it looks.

lol...My wife is a 3rd year pediatric resident, so she's told me of untold numbers of funny names over the past few years, including the "La"s, "Sha"s, "Ka"s...but other types of names as well. However, the one that takes the cake for me is where the parents didn't use a "comma to the top" after the "La":

Ladynasty

This is no joke, but I mean...just looking at that name spelling, you're not gonna think "La Dynasty". Poor girl.
