I was wondering who would disinter this moldy, cobweb-covered thread - resting in peace for nigh onto 4 months. It almost had to be one of them...

.bh.

Anyway, I started with dual Z80s ca. 1980, and currently use a Sempron 2400+ - too many to list in between.bh.

Hehe... here's my CPU history:

I suppose these had CPUs in them too...

Texas Instruments Ti99/4A
Commodore 64
Amiga 500
Amiga 3000

Now on to PCs...

25MHz 486
66MHz 486
90MHz Pentium I
200MHz Pentium I (w/MMX!!!)
400MHz Pentium II
600MHz Pentium III
1.0GHz Pentium III (Coppermine)
2.4GHz Pentium IV (Northwood)
3.0GHz Pentium IV (Prescott)

Some of the "slight upgrades" like 2.4 to 3.0 are wife-involved (shuffling off the slightly older system to my wife while I get a slightly newer one).

I was "customizing" computers as early as my Amiga and 486 days, and I was genuinly building new systems from scratch starting with my Pentium I days.
