Your dream "everyday driver" car.

Everyone goes on about their "dream car," but most often they list an unreliable sports car that operates poorly in diverse weather conditions.

What would be your dream car that could be used as an everyday driver?

I would exclude the one weather condition of heavy snow, the car does not have to be able to navigate through heavy snow.

I would choose a Mercedes CL65 with Renntech engine modifications and modest Lorinser body modifications. It would also have built in laser jammers (Laser Interceptor) and radar detector (Escort 9500ci minus the shifter). Custom, but not ghetto, rims as well. Black exterior with black interior. After all modifications, I guesstimate total cost for the vehicle would be close to $350,000, but it still could be used as an everyday driver.

Dream daily driver?

335d or a GTD

Good mileage, handles well, nice enough that its not embarrassing and common enough that you wont have to worry about it being stolen. Frugal enough that you wont be paying out the ass to drive it

Its a DD, there's no point in driving around a biturbo v-12 merc every day.

If I wanted to be lavish i'd go for an M3/M5 as a DD, but i'd probably have one of the aforementioned cars for daily use.

So if you were a billionaire, this the ride you would be driving around?

That wasn't the question ...

But if I was, I honestly don't know. Probably some kind of range extended EV that hasn't been invented and the Chevy Volt definitely isn't it. I honestly have no passion for big beefy cars.

What someone "needs" certainly is not a topic this subject should be considering. No one needs a nice car at all.

But I'm saying, what would you drive on a daily basis if money was no object that would fit all your daily needs of shopping, driving through different terrain (city, highway, neighborhood, in traffic, etc) and that you wouldn't have to worry about breaking down after 20k miles.

You can't do that stuff with an Enzo or Lambo, you'd be scratching the car up on speed bumps and they're be impossible to drive in urban areas without causing serious damage to the tires of body of the car.

2008 Audi RS4. Seems like a good combination of DD/Sporty/Comfort.

Although the 2011 Mustang GT seems to be a real winner.

Yes it was. It was "what is your dream car that could be used as an everyday driver."

Dream car. Not "dream car within reason" or "if I got promoted at work what would I drive." I mean, real dream car. If you were rich. Cash money. 20 inch rims. Gold teeth. Spinning wheels. Diamond watch. Gucci shoes. I'm being sarcastic, but you get my point.

I know a dentist like this, has a mansion in diamond bar hills with a tennis court, putting green, 6 car garage, etc.

He DD's an Accord (90% of the time).

Though theres a 750Li (wifes), M5 (His), M3(son) and an X5 (daughter) in the garage in addition to that, lol.

My Forester made out to STi spec would be a fantastic year-round daily for where I live.

If I lived somewhere sane..I don't know - maybe an M5? I'd have to do some research.

my i4 accord is my dream every day driver car. 33 mpg, low maintenance, comfy inside, looks stylish enough, decent handling and pep but no pretentions. what the hell is the point of driving a gas guzzling v8 as a dd, thats for the weekends!

Under those conditions a Tesla Roadster could make a good toy, but far from practical as a daily driver.

Cadillac CTS-V Sedan

It'd definitely be up there for me. I'd probably go with the wagon version, in case you needed some extra space (and a bit of extra sleeper potential). That or maybe an RS6 Avant (or maybe an A7 Sportback). Maybe the next gen Grand Cherokee SRT-8.

Damn, its actually a tough decision, there's so many that'd be great. I think a modernized classic would be great too.

It would actually be fun to have something ridiculous too, like a Dauer Porsche or a Veyron.
