Your Experience with Verizon Fios Internet & TV

Been doing some research on Verizon Fios Internet & TV for my place and just want to get your experience with their service overall.

Planning to do 15mb/5mb with TV 220Channels with 40+HD for $85 with 2 year contract or should I go for 25mb/25mb with 320Channels with 65+HD for $99 with 2 year contract.

Did looked up Comcast, their pricing sucks and package can't compare.

Internet is good, TV is alright. Compared to Comcast, free On-Demand is horrible. Also, from time to time, the TV shutters and skips. Very annoying. The techs have come over, they do not know what the problem is.

Oh, and btw, remember to add the price of the receivers. They are not cheap to rent. The cheapest "converter box" is $5 a month and it sucks.

Oh...and do not forget installation costs.....(if you cannot get it for free).

Great service, fast as hell, very reliable- never had it go down for any period of time (can't say that when I was with TWC).

I pay for 25 down/15 up and get closer to 25 down / 20 up.

Only thing I'm not a huge fan of is their DVR. It's a little bit laggy and slow when pausing/playing.

I had comcast before i moved and never really had issues with service. It was almost impossible to cancel service and their billing dept is horrible. I now have verizon and service is about the same for me where i live.

I couldn't pull the trigger on getting FIOS because of the receivers...I have 4 HD tv's in my house and at least with Time Warner, I can get my local stations in HD because of my QAM tuners so I only pay for 2 boxes a month. I wouldn't have this option with FIOS...

We have 20/5 internet and the Extreme HD package. No DVR, don't watch on-demand. It's worked perfectly since the first day, 11 months ago. Might want to check out dslreports.com for reviews.

1) Ordering online gets you some sort of discount usually
2) You pay per month per TV

I guess another option is just ordering the Internet only for $54 a month and just hulu or netflix everything online.

FIOS internet 25/15 and phone, love it. TV is still DirecTV until someone other than them gets to offer the NFL package.

I dumped FIOS because of their junk receivers, and the fact I had to pay for them. Comcast (XFinity's?) new HD DVR is just light years better, as is the on demand selection.

I love it. I have 35/35. The speeds vary by region. Here in nyc we seem to have higher speeds available then other places. I have fios tv as well but I dont watch much tv. It seems comparable to Time Warner I had previously. The internet though is on a different level tw is still offering only a 400k upstream.

I have the 25/15 business plan for Internet and I love it fast as hell and rock solid. I do actually get those advertised speeds.
TV is great with awesome picture quality.
