I dont really have any favourites from 2009 =/

I think in terms of popular vote, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Eminem and Taylor swift would probably win.

and god DAMN, this riverside album continues to impress me. it's like bits of dream theater fused with bits of porcupine tree laced with bits of tool with little nuggets of opeth. and a weird polish guy that sounds like an english doom-rocker.

Right now I'm leaning toward Already Free but Lhasa may edge it out in the long run.

Honorable mention: Katatonia - Night is the New Day. Phenomenal work as usual by these Swedish musicians. I would expect nothing less.
